The White Queen scene is one of two scenes that was shot at night time. Because the Jorge Manuel team had night time as a background, the dresses used for both characters had to have a 'shine' quality.' The Mishael was the perfect gown for Alice meeting the White Queen required presence.
It is easy to lose detail at the curtain of night. The scene needed lighting adjustments in order to capture the beauty of the dresses.
Finding the perfect location was perhaps the biggest challenge for the designer. The book by Lewis Carroll describes in detail the surroundings of its characters. For some odd reason, the White Queen's scene focuses more on the description of the character rather than on the scenery.
