Gown Name Search

We are proud to unveil the IRIS COLLECTION 2012, a collection inspired by the eclectic and multi-hued tonalities of the accessories Jorge Manuel has collected from all corners of the globe. Every gown takes its cue from the color it was named after, and its essence from the five romance languages of Latin that is its name's origin: French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish.

Artists have long used color to share ideas, convey emotions, and create beautiful works of art. Color is universal and defines who we are as individuals, allowing us to express the way we feel. It is a catalyst for many a decision: what we wear, how we decorate our living spaces, and, more often than not, it’s at the heart of life's most important events.

The IRIS COLLECTION 2012, so named after the colored part of the eye, is a fitting celebration of color and the differences that make us unique. “I was compelled to name the collection after the iris because the eyes are the gateway to the soul and there are many variations in eye color," explains Jorge Manuel. "The gowns for this collection are inspired in the romance of color and in the celebration of the difference in tastes and styles.”

Jorge Manuel's design philosophy, particularly in this collection, calls for the utmost in individuality and attention to detail, while retaining the timeless, classic look of the well-dressed bride. “I want brides to be fearless and bold, observing tradition but not before giving it their own twist. I have seen brides hint at using color by adding it to their bridal shoes, but thought it was interesting that they kept it hidden under their gowns. I want them to bring the color out from under their dress and unto their accessories,” acknowledges the designer.

Today’s brides are bolder, more beautiful and more fashion savvy. It is for this reason that Jorge Manuel made it a point when styling the IRIS COLLECTION 2012 to show that it is ok to accessorize your bridal gown with color! In his most ambitious collection yet, Jorge Manuel brings multi-colored diversity and art in bridal couture to a whole other level!
