This is the collection that marks the beginning of an exciting Journey for Jorge Manuel. This collection is filled with one-of-a-kind fashion ideas. The collection includes amazing attention to detail. Jorge Manuel experiments with fabrics, textures, and colors to bring to life an incredible visual form of art. The dresses are highly sophisticated, feminine and chic. The campaign the designer chose for this collection is based on the time of the revolution during the Newsboys Strike of 1899. The Silk short dress of the longer version gown was considered for the part of Alice and the White Rabbit scene. The designer was unsure whether a long dress or a short dress would do the trick for the shot. Both gowns were used in the scene and the Rogelio dress was later chosen for the scene in post production.
“This scene was one of the most complex ones, only because I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out. We had a very raw idea of what the outcome was to look like and this made it difficult to decide on the gowns Alice wore. The end result was truly remarkable!
