Made with two different colors of Silk Taffeta. The Joel gown is one of the most complex dress of the collection. The mermaid style gown is composed of three important elements; the bodice, the belt and the skirt. The rouche V-style neckline and back is made of Silk Chiffon and Silk Taffeta. The belt ties to match the buttons that run down the back of the gown. The silk flowers add a feminine touch to the gown. The mermaid style ruffle skirt adds drama and sophistication. The train is composed of two different shades of Silk Taffeta to create depth within the ruffles. Truly a magnificent dress!

The idea for this dress came from a banana tree leaf. The designer echoed the shape of the leaves and strategically placed them within the dress to form a complex, yet breathtaking effect.

The gown was perfect for the Mad Hatter tea party scene because it brought in drama to the already extravagant scenery. Jorge Manuel took part in this scene playing the role of the Mad Hatter.

"It was a lot of fun! sitting at that table truly made me feel I was part of the story," recalls the designer.
